Educational Philosophy
I understand that I must be aware of the physiological and psychological needs of my students. In order to aid in the cognitive development of my students; I have to understand the community that I support, incorporate parents into the education of their children, and create an atmosphere that is safe, free of prejudice, bullying, and harassment.Proper curriculum development is paramount in assisting children in becoming prominent members of society. Balance is needed to ensure the achievement of national, state and community goals without degradation of learning. I understand that not all children learn the same; therefore the curriculum should be designed for each child vs. developing the curriculum and plugging in the child. Learning is a continuous process and is never complete, students have to be allowed to make and learn from their mistakes.
All children can learn given an environment that is conducive to such. My lessons will be structured into learning modalities that incorporate kinesthetic, auditory, and visual techniques. I must be able to utilize various learning techniques to aid in the cognitive development of my students as well as be able to incorporate technology into the classroom. Learning techniques should be tailored to the lesson plan and meet organizational goals while creating a thirst for knowledge and an environment of self-discovery that enhances the learning experience. Teachers should be energetic and able to hold their students attention. Learning should be fun and exciting!
